Nelson is pictured above at his new employment as a Security Guard, which satisfies the final phase of his 20-week Lokken College program. During his program, Nelson identified his employment goal, created an action plan to attain that goal, and created a resume and cover letters to target potential employment opportunities. He also attended daily Career Path Management presentations to improve his employment skills, such as: Time Management, Health and Wellness, Conflict Resolution, Stress Management, and many more. To round out his program, Nelson also obtained industrial safety tickets, such as Fall Protection, Confined Space, and more.

When reflecting on his program, Nelson said: “A great place to start from as a newcomer to Canada. The instructors are really very friendly and work hard to see you succeed and settle into the Canadian way of life, culture, work etc. I will recommend this to any newcomer.“
