An Amazing Experience
Chloe is highlighted as another successful Lokken College graduate. During her application and intake interview, Chloe expressed interest in employment as a Front Desk Agent. Lokken College’s Intake Team discussed this with her, and enrolled her in the 20-week Certified Hospitality Personnel program, with a focus on the Front Desk Agent hospitality stream.
Chloe continued to pursue this employment goal through her program, creating an action plan to attain this goal, as well as a resume and cover letters focused on gaining attention from specific employers. She also completed mock interviews with her instructor, to perfect her interviewing skills, and attended daily Career Path Management presentations to improve her soft-skils, such as: Time Management, Anger Management, Communication, Health and Wellness, and more. This hard work and commitment resulted in full-time, permanent employment with a local hotel.
When reflecting on her program, Chloe said: “My experience at Lokken College has been amazing! I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to learn and gain work experience! My instructor has been very helpful along the way and I’m very thankful that she believed in me to finish the course. I would recommend Lokken to anyone looking to start their career! The Certified Hospitality Personnel program includes career development curriculum, academic preparation to write the CAEC exams, and industry specific training through emerit. Emerit certifications include Retail Training, Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, and Line Cook. These courses build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
