Floyd recently graduated from the 20-week Certified Industrial Personnel Apprenticeship program at Lokken College. During his application, Floyd indicated that he was interested in starting at an entry level position in the Trades. Through his program, he improved his interviewing skills, upgraded his resume and cover letter, completed industry specific training to receive Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, Confined Space, H2S Awareness, and other certificates, and attended daily Career Path Management presentations to improve his “soft-skills”, such as Time Management, Communication, Stress Management, and more. All of these new, and improved, skills set Floyd ahead of the competition when submitting resumes to potential employers, resulting in long-term employment. This employment satisfied the final phase of Floyd’s Lokken College program.
