One of the primary components of the Lokken College Certified Hospitality Personnel program is Academic Upgrading; which consists of preparing for and writing the GED tests required to obtain the High School Equivalency Diploma. Vera is pictured above proudly displaying her High School Equivalency Diploma, which she earned while attending the 20-week Certified Hospitality Personnel program. Vera is currently completing the final phase of her program through long-term employment as a Housekeeping Room Attendant; which she secured while attending Lokken College.

During her program, Vera also updated and refined her resume, and cover letter, improved her employment interview skills through direct discussions with her instructor, and obtained Industry Specific Training as a Housekeeping Room Attendant. She also attended daily Career Path Management presentations which focus on the “soft-skills” employers want, such as: Time Management, Money & Budgeting, Communication, Stress Management, Anger Management, and more.
