Cecil graduated from the Certified Industrial Personnel program after completing all of his curriculum and securing permanent, full-time employment as a General Labourer. During his program, he also completed Academic Upgrading to write the Canadian Adult Education Credential, which replaced the GED exams in early 2024, and obtained several industry specific safety tickets. These include Fall Protection, Standard First Aid and CPR C, Confined Space, and more.

Cecil worked closely with his instructor to identify and pursue employment opportunities that fit his employment goal. This included updating his cover letter and resume to attract attention when submitted, and completing mock interviews with his instructor to improve his skills.

When reflecting on his program, Cecil said: “It was a very good learning experience, especially not being in school for sometime. It was a very advanced yet face paced learning experience and the instructors made the program quite enjoyable, helping in all aspects. I encourage those who have not been got the chance to complete school or those who are questioning the program to just do it.“
