Hard Work, Great Attendance, Success
Cora graduated from the 20-week Certified Hospitality Personnel program in January, after completing all of her academic upgrading and career development curriculum. This included creating an eye-catching resume and cover letter, tracking employment opportunities, completing emerit training for additional certification, and attending daily Career Path Management presentations to improve her skills. In order to be eligible to graduate from her program, Cora secured full-time employment as an Office Assistant. She completed all of the program requirements, while also demonstrating near-perfect attendance over her entire 20 week program.
The Certified Hospitality Personnel program includes career development curriculum, academic preparation to write the CAEC exams, and industry specific training through emerit. Emerit certifications include Retail Training, Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, and Line Cook. These courses build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
