Alias recently picked up her Lokken College certificate after graduating from the 20 week Certified Hospitality Personnel program. During her program, Alias demonstrated almost perfect attendance, allowing her to complete the required curriculum with ease. This set Alias up to have more time to diligently search for employment opportunities that interest her. As expected, with hard work and a commitment to herself, Alias was able to secure full-time employment to satisfy the final phase of her program. Alias also completed academic upgrading to prepare for, and write, the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) tests.

The Certified Hospitality Personnel program includes career development curriculum, academic preparation to write the CAEC exams, and industry specific training through emerit. Emerit certifications include Retail Training, Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, and Line Cook. These courses build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
