Glecia recently graduated from the 20-week Certified Industrial Personnel Apprenticeship (CIPA) program at Lokken College. During her program, Glecia created a resume, and cover letter, which led to her securing full time employment; one of the requirements to successfully complete any Lokken College program. She also attended daily Career Path Management presentations to develop the soft-skills employers want, such as: Time Management, Conflict Resolution, Stress Management, Money and Budgeting, and more. Finally, Glecia obtained industry specific training; for the CIPA program this includes: Forklift training, Fall Protection, CSTS, Confined Space, and more.

When reflecting on her program, she said: “When I first attended Lokken College I was not too sure on what to expect… I really loved that I had the opportunity to do my assignments online and at home due to the fact that I am a mother and it just made everything easier for me.” Lokken College curriculum has been designed to be delivered through Online Learning with frequent direct communication with our professional Instructors. This allows Lokken College learners to learn the vital skills to become more employable without the difficulties of commuting, and allows learners from all over Alberta to be enrolled in our programs. “This program gave me more confidence in myself and to look forward to beginning a new career for my child and I.” Congratulations, Glecia.
